APC Overnight, the UK’s largest independent delivery network, has achieved a Bronze RoSPA Health and Safety Award. This is the second time that the company has been recognised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), having also received the Bronze Award in 2017.

Collecting the award on behalf of APC Overnight were William Russell, Health, Safety and Environment Manager; Marc Oliver, Assistant Health, Safety and Environment Manager and Katie Taylor, Day Operations Manager.

Jonathan Smith, Chief Executive of APC Overnight, said:

“We are very proud to have once again achieved a Bronze RoSPA Award, recognising the safety of our workplace and our people. It is credit to the collective effort and determination of our staff to create a safer working environment for all our employees across our hubs and head office.”

The renowned RoSPA Awards scheme is now in its 62nd year, and is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the globe. Judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. The majority of the awards are non-competitive and mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said:

“The RoSPA Awards are the most highly-respected in the health and safety arena, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, and allow organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with it.”
