APC Overnight delivers robust growth in profits
APC Overnight - the UK’s largest independent specialist delivery network – has delivered a strong trading performance set against a challenging marketplace. The company has recorded 31% year-on-year growth in profits to £3 million for the financial year, delivering 0.8% growth in total revenue to £103 million.
In the past year, APC Overnight has provided ongoing investment across its unique network model to help SMEs succeed in a turbulent economic climate. The company – with 112 locations nationwide – has introduced six new services to help SME customers, including a new click and collect service, an intuitive mobile booking and tracking app and an international delivery partnership with Air Menzies International.
Jonathan Smith, Chief Executive Officer at APC Overnight, said:
“Despite challenging market conditions, we’ve had a strong year. We’ve introduced a range of new services so that our network of depots can better serve their SME customers. Our investment in the business has meant that we’re closer than ever to our customers.
“We’re firm believers in SMEs being the backbone of the UK economy – it lives and dies by the successes of these small businesses. We therefore want to level the playing field and help SMEs scale-up their logistics management to match their growth plans.”
APC Overnight has ambitious plans for further investment in 2018, committing funds to its IT systems, property, fleet and people.
