APC Overnight wears pink to raise money for breast cancer research

By APC Overnight on 21st October 2016

Today (21st October 2016), over 500 employees at APC Overnight have been showing their support for women and men affected by breast cancer through a programme of charity activity at the company’s head office, which saw them all dressed in pink.

As well as supporting the Breast Cancer Now’s ‘Wear It Pink’ campaign, colleagues based at the head office in Cannock have also been getting creative in raising as much money as possible for the charity. The UK’s largest independent courier has even introduced their own ‘Big Pink Parcel’ competition. Employees will purchase tickets to guess what time the parcel will get scanned in the sortation system, with the winner receiving a gift voucher. After the competition, the parcel – filled with pink gifts and treats – will continue on the sortation system, eventually being delivered to the Breast Cancer Now head office in London.

All of today’s fundraising efforts will go towards helping the charity reach its overall goal of ensuring that no one dies from breast cancer by the year 2050.

Speaking about the Wear It Pink campaign, Jonathan Smith, CEO of APC Overnight said: “I know everyone at the head office here in Cannock has had great fun getting behind this initiative and really showing their support of such a worthy cause. Our employees are the lifeblood of APC Overnight and I suspect that there isn’t one person in this business that hasn’t been affected by cancer in some way. It really is an honour to make a difference for Breast Cancer Now.”
