Local Courier’s Rapid Growth Dispatches Business to New Premises
Rapid Dispatch, which provides nationwide delivery and collection services for people and businesses across Essex and Suffolk made the move from its previous Essex depot in Witham, to a new 10,000 sq ft facility on Applewood Farm in Rivenhall after experiencing two years of unprecedented demand for its services.
The firm, which was founded in Ipswich in 1987 and is part of the APC Overnight national delivery network, has been a beneficiary of the boom in online retail and is now processing as many as 5,000 parcels in each of its two depots per week – an increase of 25 per cent on the past two years.
The quick rise of Rapid Dispatch has also seen the firm recruit an additional three members of staff in the last six months, while at the same time purchasing a new fleet of delivery vans.
Speaking of his business’s growth, Antonio Ciufo, Director and founder of Rapid Dispatch, commented: “The last two years have seen demand for our services exceed all expectations, which is down to a combination of our intimate customer service and the versatility of our operation. We deliver everything from time sensitive documents to bottles of wine for customers from across the region, and have built up a strong reputation as a reliable Suffolk and Essex courier.
“With so many people now forced to deal with call centres and automated order processes, we pride ourselves on the fact that whenever a customer calls us, they are guaranteed to speak to a delivery expert who is not only from the local area, but also has the know how to give them a service tailored to their needs.”
