Priority Express achieves Bronze Positive Planet Certification
Priority Express, part of The APC delivery network - the largest independent parcel delivery network in the UK - has today announced that it has been awarded the Bronze Positive Planet Certification, marking an important first step on the company’s journey toward achieving net zero emissions.
The certification, issued by Positive Planet, recognises the actions Priority Express has taken to understand and reduce its environmental impact. The accreditation reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and its ongoing mission to operate responsibly while supporting global climate goals.
Simon Whitehead, Sustainability Operations Manager, said: “This is a proud moment for Priority Express. Achieving Bronze accreditation demonstrates our commitment to measuring our footprint and taking meaningful steps toward reducing it. While this is just the beginning, it’s an important milestone in our long-term journey to net zero.”
The Positive Planet accreditation process evaluates companies on their efforts to measure, report and act on sustainability initiatives. The Bronze level acknowledges Priority Express’s dedication to accountability and transparency in its environmental practices.
With the certification now in place, Priority Express is setting its sights on further reducing emissions, improving operational sustainability, and working towards higher levels of accreditation in the years ahead.
“Climate action is a journey, and every step counts,” added Simon. “We are committed to building on this achievement and driving meaningful change for our customers, our communities, and the planet.”
Jane Hart, Marketing Director at The APC, said: “Across our network, we are committed to supporting our depots as they take meaningful steps towards sustainability. Priority Express’s accreditation is a strong example of how depots are embedding sustainable practices into their operations, and we’re proud to support them as they continue this important journey towards net zero.”
