Speedy Response from Bermondsey Depot Helps Secure Multi-Million-Pound Deal for Children’s Charity

By APC Overnight on 18th January 2016

Staff at APC Overnight’s Transexpress have been praised after their quick responses helped a national children’s charity secure a multi-million-pound partnership deal with a major bank.  Fundraisers at Hope and Homes for Children, which aims to move the eight million children living in orphanages into loving families, needed a last minute delivery from Bermondsey to the headquarters of Deutsche Bank in Birmingham to support its bid to become the bank’s official charity partner.  Having contacted a number of couriers, Hope and Homes for Children Fundraising Co-ordinator, Kate Redding, finally spoke to Shaun Oliff at Transexpress.  Shaun pulled out all the stops and was able to get the supporting material over to Deutsche Bank by 9.40 am the following day; 20 minutes ahead of the planned presentation.

As a result, Hope and Homes for Children has now been awarded charitable partner status by the bank, which could result in significant funding for the children and families the charity supports.  Speaking about the delivery company’s quick responses, Kate said: “Working with Governments and local authorities across four continents, we aim to ensure as many children as possible are placed with loving families. Our new partnership with Deutsche Bank will vastly increase the number of children we can help and the quick reactions from Shaun and his team are greatly appreciated.”

Shaun said: “Hope and Homes for Children helps some of the most vulnerable children throughout the world. We’re extremely pleased to have been able to play our small part in helping them secure such a significant sum.”
