Andy Taylor, who was previously Managing Director of Inpost, has taken up the position of Network Director and will also join the company’s board of directors, while Colin Rann, formerly of FedEx, has taken over as Operations Director.  Both directors will report directly to Jonathan Smith who joined APC Overnight in April this year, as the company’s first externally appointed CEO.  Andy’s primary role will be to streamline processes and improve service for the company’s extensive regional network.  Andy said: “With 115 independently owned and run businesses throughout the UK APC Overnight is able to provide a fast and efficient response to localised demand. Maintaining a consistent service throughout is integral to ensuring the company’s continued growth.”  Colin will be bringing considerable parcel industry experience and engineering knowledge to support and develop the operations functions.

Speaking about his new role, Colin said: “APC Overnight occupies a unique position in what is becoming an increasingly consolidated market place and I’m looking forward to improving the business’s ability to exploit the wealth of opportunities that currently exist. My overall aim will be to help maintain and further develop the company’s industry leading levels of service.”
